Data Management
The Management page in Bluvia A/B Testing lets you review how much experiment data is stored on your WordPress website and remove data you no longer need.
To access it, go to Bluvia A/B Testing ā Management in your WordPress dashboard.
Storage Overview
At the top of the Management page, the Storage Overview shows how much storage Bluvia A/B Testing is currently using.
Storage is broken down by data type, including:
- Experiments
- Heatmaps
- Screen Recordings
You can use this overview to identify which types of experiment data are using the most storage.
Experiment List
The Experiment List displays stored experiments along with information such as:
- Experiment name
- Number of Variants
- Data size
- Date created
Select View to review an experiment or Delete to remove its stored data.
You can also select multiple experiments and use Bulk actions when you need to clean up several experiments at once.
Deleting Experiment Data
Deleting an experiment from the Management page is intended for removing stored experiment data that you no longer need.
Before deleting data, make sure you no longer need the experiment or its results for future reference.
Deletion should generally be reserved for experiments and data you’re comfortable permanently removing.
If you simply want to organize completed experiments without removing their data, use the Test Library instead.
Managing Heatmaps
Open the Heatmaps tab under Data Management to review stored heatmap data.
The list shows information about each heatmap, including its associated page, storage size, and creation date.
From here, you can:
- View a stored heatmap.
- Delete a heatmap you no longer need.
Removing older heatmaps can help reduce the amount of storage used by Bluvia A/B Testing.
Managing Screen Recordings
Open the Screen Recordings tab to manage stored visitor recordings.
Screen recordings can accumulate as experiments collect visitor activity, so this area can be useful when cleaning up older experiment data.
Remove recordings you no longer need to retain.
Managing Archived Variations
Open the Archived Variations tab to review Variations that have been archived.
This gives you a separate place to manage Variation data that is no longer part of your current experimentation workflow.
When Should You Delete Data?
You don’t need to regularly delete experiment data simply because an experiment has ended.
Keeping previous results can be valuable when reviewing Experiment History or planning future tests.
Consider removing data when:
- You no longer need the experiment for reference.
- Old heatmaps or recordings are no longer useful.
- You’re cleaning up outdated experiment data.
- You want to reduce the storage used by Bluvia A/B Testing.
When in doubt, keep data that may still be useful for understanding previous experiments.
Management vs. Test Library
The Test Library and Management page serve different purposes.
Use the Test Library for day-to-day experiment management, including viewing, editing, duplicating, pausing, stopping, archiving, and organizing tests.
Use Management when you need to review storage usage or clean up the underlying data generated by your experiments.
In most cases, you’ll manage experiments from the Test Library and only visit Management when you need to review or remove stored data.
