Plugin Settings
The Bluvia A/B Testing plugin settings control default tracking behavior, reporting requirements, diagnostics, and notifications for experiments on your WordPress website.
To access these options, go to Bluvia A/B Testing ā Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
After making changes, select Save Changes.
Tracking Settings
Tracking Settings control several defaults used when collecting and evaluating experiment results.
Confidence
Set the confidence level Bluvia A/B Testing uses when determining whether an experiment has enough statistical confidence to declare a winner.
The default confidence level is 95%.
You can adjust this level based on the requirements of your experimentation program.
Increasing the confidence level requires stronger evidence before a result reaches the selected threshold. Lowering it requires less evidence but increases the possibility that an observed difference is caused by normal variation.
GDPR Cookie
Use GDPR Cookie to provide the cookie name used by your website’s consent system.
This setting can help coordinate experiment tracking with your site’s cookie consent implementation.
Enter the appropriate cookie name for your website’s consent setup.
Excluded IPs
Use Excluded IPs to prevent traffic from specified IP addresses from being included in experiment tracking.
Enter one IP address per line.
This can be useful for excluding traffic that you don’t want included in experiment results, such as internal or development traffic.
Plugin Behavior
Logging
Enable Logging when you need additional diagnostic information to help troubleshoot the plugin.
When enabled, critical errors may also be automatically reported to Bluvia A/B Testing so they can be investigated.
Error reports include technical information needed to diagnose the problem, including:
- Site domain
- Active theme name
- Plugin version
- PHP version
- WordPress version
- Error description
- Code stack trace
Personal data, page content, and visitor information are not included in these reports.
You generally don’t need to enable logging unless you’re troubleshooting an issue or Bluvia A/B Testing Support asks you to enable it.
User Interface
Required Sample Size
Set the minimum number of page views an experiment must receive before Bluvia A/B Testing computes statistical significance.
The default is 100 page views.
Increasing the required sample size means the experiment must collect more traffic before statistical significance is calculated.
Remember that reaching the required sample size doesn’t automatically mean an experiment is ready to end or statistical significance has been reached. Consider sample size alongside conversions, confidence, test duration, and the consistency of the results.
Plugin Tutorials
Enable plugin tutorials to automatically display introductions to Bluvia A/B Testing features for new users.
You can disable this option if you no longer want these tutorials to appear.
Notifications
Bluvia A/B Testing can send email notifications for important experiment events.
Email Address
Enter the email address where you want experiment notifications delivered.
Test Notifications
You can choose to receive an email when:
- A test starts
- A weekly test report
- A test stops
Enable the notifications you want to receive and select Save Changes.
Saving Your Settings
After making changes to any of these options, select Save Changes at the bottom of the Settings page.
The updated configuration will then be used by Bluvia A/B Testing.
Managing Stored Experiment Data
Experiment storage isn’t managed from the Settings page.
Go to Bluvia A/B Testing ā Management to review stored experiment data and storage usage.
The Management area provides access to experiment data as well as stored resources such as heatmaps, screen recordings, and archived Variations.
